What is my money going towards?

Funds from the project will be used to pay for the manufacturing cost of the pins & other add-on items, as well as additional costs such as taxes and fees, tariffs, samples, and more! You will also be supporting an independent queer creator & small business owner. Thank you for shopping small!

How is payment collected? When will I be charged?

After the conclusion of the campaign, your card will be charged for the full pledge amount (this can sometimes take up to two weeks). For shipping, you will be given a backer survey that will allow you to pay for your shipping fee separately from your pledge! You will be able to pay via card using Stripe.

When will I receive my rewards?

Our current estimate for the manufacturing process is that rewards will begin shipping as early as summer 2025. This accounts for the length of the sampling & manufacturing process, factory holidays, and any other delays or setbacks that could arise with a project like this. Any significant delay past this time frame will be communicated to backers promptly.

Please also keep in mind that this project will be undergoing fulfillment at the same time as my previous project, Batpacks. There may be weeks where I need to focus on fulfillment for one project over the other, but I’ll do my best to keep things as even as I can!

How is shipping calculated?

We will be using Backerkit’s built in system for calculating weight-based shipping according to the total items you will be receiving with your pledge. Shipping fees are NOT included with your pledge; they will be added on at the end of the campaign, when you receive your backer survey via the pledge manager. Please keep this in mind when choosing your pledge tier!

When will I know which designs have been unlocked?

Our backerkit page will be updated with each new design that’s unlocked, and backers will be able to choose which ones are unlocked first via polls in the community section! If the design you were hoping to get doesn’t reach it’s goal unlock amount before the campaign ends, you’re always welcome to cancel your pledge any time before the fulfillment process begins.

I can't afford to support the campaign now, will there be a way for me to purchase these pins later?

Yes! Our pre-order store will open after the conclusion of the campaign, and these pins + all other add-ons will eventually be added to my online store as a regular product. Please keep in mind, though, that campaign exclusive rewards will ONLY be available if you pledge during the campaign period, 1/23/25 - 2/14/25.

How do I qualify for the cross collab incentive with Astroanimals | A Voyage to the Plushies?

If you back our campaign and the Astroanimals A Voyage to the Plushies campaign before both campaigns end, then you will qualify for our special cross collab incentive! Please note that the rewards we each offer will be shipped separately from one another, per our individual campaign’s production timelines and shipping regulations.

What am I being charged for in my survey?

Your backer survey is meant to collect payment for shipping fees, applicable sales tax, and any additional add-ons you purchased after the end of the campaign. It is a separate payment from your main pledge.

Am I being charged twice for add-ons?

Any add-ons you purchased during the campaign have already been paid for alongside your pledge; you will only need to pay for any additional add-ons you choose to purchase now!

Can I still make changes to my pledge?

You will have the chance to make some adjustments to your pledge when you fill in your survey. To remove add-on items you’ve already paid for, please contact Backerkit support.

When will my survey payment be charged?

To avoid confusion & failed payments, you will be charged within a few days of you filling out your survey, usually by the end of the week. If you need to make changes to your order after your card has been charged, please contact Backerkit support!

You can make address changes yourself at any point prior to order fulfillment!

Shipping is currently estimated to occur in mid-to-late summer 2025. Minor delays may occur due to a change in shipping origin location, but currently everything is proceeding as scheduled!

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

Terms and Conditions

I understand that this is a crowdfunding campaign/pre-order campaign & that my items will not ship until the date specified by the project organizer, which may change due to manufacturing or shipping delays. Any and all delays will be communicated promptly via Backerkit and email updates.

I understand that payment at the end of this survey covers shipping fees, applicable sales tax, and any additional add ons I select to purchase, and that it is a separate payment from my initial pledge. Pledge payment & survey payment are both required in order to receive my rewards.
