To the Moon and Back: Space Animal Enamel Pins

hey everyone! it's a little crazy, but we recently passed 6.5k in funds which means we're getting REAL close to 7k... which is crazy!!!

i was thinking of adding a new unlockable add on if we reach 7k... how do you guys feel about a pin banner maybe? or would you prefer another unlockable pin?

speaking of unlockable pins! our poll for which pin to unlock next ends TOMORROW at 10am PST! anita & arabella are currently in the lead, but not by much!

in just a little over 24 hours, we've completely unlocked all 8 stretch goals i had planned for the project! which is just so, SO cool -- I'm so grateful for each and every one of you who have supported the project. I've never had all my stretch goals unlocked this fast before!

some of you may be wondering if ill add more goals now that we've surpassed what i expected only two days in, and the answer is: MAYBE!! i definitely have more than 6 pins designs, so unlocking even more of those would be great, but I do want to maybe wait for a week or so to see if we're still trending up in pledges before committing to more pins!

for our unlocking poll: sally, amy, & moe seem to be the clear winners, so I feel safe in saying that they've won our first unlock spot! ill have a new poll up in a bit to pick our second unlock spot :)

(oh, and while im still debating if I want to add more pins, I DO have one more thing id like to add as a stretch goal that I think people will really like :) )

WOW!! it's still only the first day and we've already unlocked more than half of our stretch goals -- that's CRAZY!! thank you all so, so much. im so glad that my little guys have connected with ya'll in some way!

of these three designs, the current leader is sally, amy, and moe, the three black mice! with belka & strelka close behind, followed by miss baker.

i wanted to be sure to give you guys plenty of options for unlockable pins, so for our second unlocked pin slot, id like to introduce three new options!



on the left we have ham the chimpanzee (1961), the first ape in space! next we have arabella & anita (1973), the first spiders in space (and the first to spin webs in space!). last but not least -- the rabbit marfusha and her canine companions otvazhnaya & snezhinka (1959)!

Super exciting news! We launch at exactly 10am PST tomorrow, and I couldn't be more excited to share these pin designs with you! I've been working hard on them and I hope it shows 🥺

I wanted to give you all who've been following the project already a little heads up when it comes to early bird tiers; there are around 50ish spots available across 3 pledge types, so if you wanna get some pins at a discounted price, make sure to have all your payment information/backerkit profile updated by the launch time so you can get em first!

Also, I wanted to share the next three possible designs that will be available for unlock during the campaign. Backers will be able to vote on which design gets unlocked first if/once we reach a new pin unlock stretch goal!



First, we have Belka & Strelka, two Russian space dogs launched in 1960 who came back alive! Next is the spider monkey Miss Baker, launched in 1959, who was not only brought back alive but lived to a ripe old age! Lastly, we have three black mice: Sally, Amy, and Moe, launched by the US & recovered safely in 1960.
